Christmas in Branson

Christmas in Branson is a joyous time of year. You don’t have to take our word for it! The Pioneer Woman and House Beautiful have both ranked Branson as a top 20 destination for Christmas.

Why is Branson such a great place to take a Christmas vacation? Read on to find out!

1. Silver Dollar City

Branson is a cozy town with all of the amenities of a larger city. We’re a place to get away from it all for a week. Silvery Dollar City is probably the best place to see the spirit of the holidays on full display.

The entire property is decked out in millions of lights, centered on a gigantic Christmas tree in the middle of the courtyard once you enter the park. Pick out beautiful, one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts from the shops that line the walkways at SDC.

2. The Polar Express

The Branson Scenic Railway transforms into the Polar Express for a ride to the North Pole that lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes during the holiday season.

Experience the magic and majesty of the beloved children’s book and movie. All guests will receive a bell as a gift for their ride, as well as hot chocolate and cookies. The book is read aloud during the excursion, and Santa just might appear!

3. Branson Landing

Branson Landing features a Christmas extravaganza every night with a light show, music, and plenty of lights while guests take in the attraction near the river. The shops and restaurants at the landing will have plenty of Christmas specials, too.

4. Wolfe Mountain’s Snowflex Park

Ever want to fly down a hillside on an innertube with snow flying around you?

That’s the feeling you get at Wolfe Mountain’s Snowflex Park. Climb onto an innertube and hold on for a fast ride down the hill on a surface that is soft and slick like snow but without the feel of snow.

If the flakes fly when you’re there, so much the better!

5. Take a Tour of Branson’s Christmas Lights

Do you want to see all of the lights in Branson? Consider taking a tour of the city to see the beautiful lights on buildings, trees, and landscapes. Branson has been named America’s Christmas Tree City, and there are hundreds of reasons why.

Just about every property has an outdoor tree with plenty of bright lights. Many businesses offer specials and donate to charities as part of the giving spirit of the season.

6. Live Music in Branson for the Christmas Season

Theaters throughout the city feature special Christmas shows from November through the end of the year. Grand Country Music Hall offers three performances a day during the holidays, including Down Home Country, Comedy Jamboree, and Grand Jubilee.

We’ve got performances at 10 a.m., 3 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. throughout the holiday season. We’d be honored if you would join us to celebrate the season with you and your loved ones.
