They perform daily at 10am with the exception of a few Wednesday’s. As we get ready for this Memorial Day weekend, let’s not forget the real reason for the holiday, which is our chance to commemorate our American military personnel who died in all wars. We have the freedoms we have all due to their ultimate sacrifices. This holiday is also considered the unofficial beginning to Summer. It’s with bittersweet feelings that I let you know Wayne Massengale and Melody Hart are leaving Grand Country. Wayne began with us in January 2005 performing in our Grand Jubilee, Comedy Jamboree, Down Home Country, New South Gospel and Branson Country USA shows. Melody started with Down Home Country in 2011, and then she joined Branson Country USA in 2012. Their sons, Garrett & Dillon, are no strangers to the Grand Country stage as well. It’s been a family affair. They’ve been an instrumental part of our many successes. We’re thankful for all their contributions to Grand Country. The entire family (Wayne, Melody, Garrett & Dillon) have an exciting opportunity to work as a family in a new venue coming to Branson. They will be moving to the former Branson Central Theatre (previously the Wild Wood Flower/Shake It Up Club). The building is converting into a honky-tonk music and dance venue. It will be newly named, “Wranglers”. The Massengale Family will be the featured “house” performers playing traditional country music with the dance floor wide open. We will miss them, but we share in their excitement of getting to work and perform together as a family unit. This has always been their dream and now they have the opportunity to make it happen. Their last show with us will be June 9, 2023. Melody and Wayne will return to Down Home Country in September and complete the 2023 season with us. We thank them for their dedication to Grand Country and the countless memories they created for our many guests! Furthermore, we wish them all the success in their next adventure.
