Mike’s Minute:   Good afternoon!   We’re excited to announce Kim Barber is joining the Grand Country Family as our female vocalist in Down Home Country!   Kimberly Barber, a seasoned entertainer hailing from Grand Prairie, TX, embarked on her musical journey at the age of 6, touring Texas and Oklahoma with her family’s Southern Gospel music group.   By 16. she was the youngest entertainer at Six Flags over Texas, showcasing her singing and dancing talents. Relocating to Nashville in 1992, she became a fixture in the town, having several performances, hosted by Porter Wagoner on the Grand Ole Opry, The Bluebird Cafe, as well as TNN’ Network’s “Nashville Now,” “Crook and Chase,” and “Charlie Daniels’ Talent Round-up.”    Kimberly’s versatile career includes performances in Tokyo, on cruise ships and national road tours. After coming off the road from touring, she brought her talents to Branson, performing for three years at “Country Tonite” and twelve years at “Presleys’ Country Jubilee” as well as their weekly. national television show on RFD-TV network.   Kimberly is married to her husband of 20 years, Mel Barber. and together have a son, Braylen, who is 18. Mel is a vocalist in our Ozarks Country Show. For the past couple of years, the couple have been captivating audiences at Silver Dollar City as a duet team with their story-telling style and powerful vocal harmonies.
Please help us welcome Kim to our team! –Mike
