Vacation was fun but it’s good to be back in the saddle. I’d like to give you an update on Mark McCauley as he gave me permission to share the latest. He’s doing well and he’s feeling good. Mark was ready to return to shows, however his heart doctor has other plans. His doctor has scheduled further testing which may take up to a month. Following testing, Mark is most likely looking at surgery with a 5-week recovery period. Therefore, we’re anticipating his return with us in April or May. That being said, we’re unable to rehearse and open the new 2023 New South Gospel show. We are now planning on rehearsals during the summer and New South Gospel opening for the scheduled Fall run beginning September 7. To replace the nine scheduled New South Gospel shows during the Spring, we will be substituting the time slot with Ozarks Gospel featuring Tammy & Tonya Bilyeu. The Grand Band will back them, and Jamie Haage will be the comedian since most of their regular personnel have weekday jobs. We’re thankful to Tammy & Tonya for helping us get through the Spring commitment of our gospel music presentation. We also feel it’s a great opportunity for guests and ticket vendors to get to experience their show during the week. A Sunday schedule often prevents individuals from getting to attend. Thank you for your understanding. Mark is celebrating 21 years with Grand Country. We want to allow him this time to focus on his health and return to us as soon as possible.
