Heleena  Mike’s Minute: It saddens me to let you know that Gene Mulvaney is retiring from Grand Country to spend more time with his family and his successful business, The Branson Guest Card:. His last show with us was New Year’s Eve. Gene started with us in 2011 performing in our Grand Jubilee, New South Gospel and Branson Country USA shows. He has been an instrumental part of our success, particularly the television show. He has had an amazing career in show business which started at an early age with one of Branson’s early shows, The Wilkinson Brothers. In previous years, Gene performed with Splinter Middleton, Ferlin Husky, Mickey Gilley, Country Tonite, Ray Stevens, and many more. He’s been be awarded Branson’s Instrumentalist of the Year, and is a six-time winner of Steel Guitar Player of the Year. Gene will continue to sponsor the Branson Guest Card segment on Branson Country USA. Additionally, the Branson Guest Card will continue to be sold at Grand Country Music Hall. We’re thankful to Gene’s wife, Amy, and children, Marissa and Mitchell, for sharing Gene with us all these years. We wish he and his family all the success in the future.
